ABOUT US: CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP
What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness?
— Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Through corporate-sponsored, employee-driven volunteer efforts, CC Pace employees, families, and friends have completed numerous projects to benefit local communities, families and organizations.
CC Pace employees helped refurbish a nonprofit day care center and repopulate a woodland area with native Virginia plants.
We volunteered technical assistance to develop systems that helped several local agencies improve operations to better serve foster children. We guided another nonprofit organization in effective use of technology, enabling better delivery of services to DC-area people who are homeless and hungry.
We brought holiday cheer to families in distress with donated school supplies, toys, clothing and household items. And we ran, jumped and played volleyball to help others live full, healthy lives.
For a recent Make a Difference Day, CC Pace employees teamed with the Fairfax County Parks Authority, the City of Falls Church, and the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation to conduct an archaeological assessment of historic Tinner Hill. The site was home to the Henderson and Tinner families, who defied a local segregation ordinance in 1915 and created what is believed to be the first rural U.S. NAACP chapter.
